Alberto Neira & Silver Oak Leasing
Mr. Neira recommended investments in Silver Oak Leasing to 14 customers and he did this without full disclosure to his firm LPL financial, this action is in violation of FINRA rule 2010.2. This unscrupulous activity occurred from Feb 2002 through January 2011. LPL financial did not properly monitor the activities of Mr. Neira during his tenure as a registered broker. FINRA has barred Mr Neira from the finance industry, for failing to respond to their request regarding the $2 million in investments made by 14 LPL clients to Silver Oak Leasing. This act of mismanagement and fraud is a serious legal issue that is under investigation with our firm. We also have reason to believe that this broker was responsible for committing fraud in excess of $4.5 million against a Maureen Sloan of Newport Beach, CA. Mr. Neira apparently used a fraudulent auto-financing scheme on Ms. Sloan. Alberto Neira was terminated by LPL in January 2011 for failing to disclose his involvement with Silver Oak Leasing and for the recommendations to purchase of stock or promissory notes.
