Lynn A. Simon & CFD Investments
We continue to investigate former financial advisor Lynn A. Simon for engaging in “selling away” while affiliated with CFD Investments Inc. Simon was previously discharged from CFD on May 21, 2013 for “engaging in an outside business activity through Financial Security Planning Inc…which was in violation of FINRA rules.” In addition Simon is being investigated by the Indiana Securities Division and has been suspended by his main regulator, FINRA , as of June 10, 2013. Our ultimate target for FINRA arbitration claims/lawsuits related to Lynn Simon’s conduct is his previous employer, CFD Investments of Evansville, Indiana. CFD Investments was obligated to supervise his activity during the time Lynn was employed with the firm. A failure to do so through ignoring red flags of Lynn’s fraudulent conduct (like selling away) can impart liability on the firm and require CFD Investments to have to pay client’s back money.
